Our first campaign for the year will be Cape Town Cycle Tour, followed closely by the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. We will also be at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon later in the year. Keep an eye on our blog and social media pages for any additional races / campaigns. The team's goal is to ensure that we can help as many girls as possible by restoring their dignity and keeping them in school. We also try and raise as much awareness about this social issue as possible and hope that we can make a difference by creating awareness.

ABOUT US
About 2 million girls aged between 12 and 18 still cannot afford sanitary pads. This issue hinders learning amongst the youth in disadvantaged communities, and it also contributes towards absenteeism as well as drop-out rates. In addressing this learning barrier Running for Pads ( a team of runners) aim to secure and donate sanitary pads, tampons and toiletries. All the runners will also participate in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon 2018 and the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon 2018, as a way of creating awareness around this social ill. We call upon all individuals and companies to help us in touching more needy lives through this humanitarian act. This is not just a mere run–it is a run in the shoes of a needy girl child.
